The project included the construction of a new 76,500 square foot cargo building, a 26,663 square foot main administration building, a 5,625 square foot export control building, a 5,105 square foot veterinary services building, a 3,940 square foot target enforcement/hazardous materials building, a 19,500 square foot secondary inspection garage, new inspection booths and related site work to facilitate vehicle processing through the facility.
The US Land Port of Entry’s design was registered with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and was constructed as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Certified project.
The project was awarded an Award of Merit for McGraw Hill Construction’s New York Construction’s 2007 Best of Awards as well as a 2008 Outstanding Project Team award from the U.S. General Services Administration.
Lindal was the primary scheduling consultant on this complex project, leading the two major GC contractors to on-time completion.
